Purpose of Audit
Working Conditions Audits aim to assess whether the rights, safety, and well-being of employees are managed in accordance with national legislation and the requirements of international financial institutions (IFC, EBRD, AIIB, etc.). The audit addresses social and operational risks holistically within the scope of Labor and Working Conditions, Occupational Health and Safety, and Community Health and Safety standards.

Audit Scope
• Review of working hours, compensation, leave and shift practices
• Contract types, subcontracting structure and unregistered employment risks
• Prevention of forced labor, child labor and discrimination
• Protection practices for migrant and female workers
• Recruitment, training, health surveillance and representation mechanisms
• Inspection of accommodation, cafeteria and social facility conditions
• Effectiveness of complaint and feedback systems
• Employee health, occupational safety and psychosocial well-being indicators
• Assessment of community health and environmental interactions
• Action plan and improvement suggestions based on findings

Method and Reporting

The audit is conducted through field observations, employee interviews, document reviews, and management assessments. Findings are classified according to IFC and EBRD standards, and the final report includes visually supported findings, a compliance matrix, and a prioritized action plan.

Audit Period
Audit duration varies depending on the number of employees, facility size and project scope.

Which Organizations Is It Intended For?
It is suitable for projects receiving investment support from EBRD, IFC, AIIB or similar international financial institutions, contractors and suppliers, as well as all organizations requiring social compliance or HSE performance verification.

Auditor Staff
The audit is conducted by Meganova's experienced auditors in social compliance, OHS, environmental, and public health. When necessary, the team includes an occupational physician, psychosocial risk specialist, or human rights consultant.
