Purpose of Audit
The Playground Safety Audit aims to assess the suitability of playground design, installation, and maintenance processes for child health and safety. The audit aims to ensure safe, accessible, and sustainable use of playgrounds by minimizing the risks of falls, collisions, entrapment, and accessibility.

• Structural integrity and material safety of playground equipment
• Fall area, floor covering and shock absorbency checks
• Analysis of sharp edges, pinching, suffocation and entrapment risks

Method and Reporting
The audit is conducted using field measurements, equipment testing, soil sample analysis, and visual inspections. Findings are classified according to EN 1176 and EN 1177 standards. The final report includes risk scores, photographic findings, and a corrective action plan.
