PRE-CONSTRUCTION SAFETY DESIGN (PtD)
Service Code: CON-009-HS

Purpose of the Service
Pre-Construction Safety Design Consulting aims to identify and eliminate safety risks during the design phase of projects, reduce accidents during construction and operation, and ensure sustainable safety performance. Through BIM-based modeling and engineering-focused design reviews, the service ensures early integration of safety into the project during access, maintenance, installation, and operation.
Scope of Service
• Review of project design documents from an HSE perspective
• Risk labeling, visibility analysis and clash checks in BIM models
• Evaluation of access, platforms, stairs, railings and work areas in terms of safety
• Determining design precautions for working at heights, confined spaces, lifting operations and power lines
• Modeling of HSE compliance between design-construction-operation phases
• PtD meetings, design review sessions and creation of decision records
• Defining safety requirements for maintenance and repair processes of building elements
• Generating alternative design solutions for critical hazards (elimination–substitution–engineering controls)
• Preparation of HSE integration guide for the design team and the employer
Which Organizations Is It For?
It is suitable for architecture and engineering offices, EPC companies, main contractors, investment organizations, industrial facility projects, energy-infrastructure projects and large-scale construction investments.
It can be used in all projects where HSE integration is required during the pre-design or design revision processes.
Method
The process involves reviewing design documents, evaluating BIM models, preliminary site studies, technical meetings, and PtD review sessions. Findings are presented in the form of risk-tagged BIM output files, a design decision list, a HSE recommendation set, and a PtD compliance report.
Advisory Staff
The service is carried out by Meganova consultants with expertise in civil engineering, occupational safety, design safety, BIM technologies, access/work platforms, and process safety. Architectural and mechanical project consultants are also involved when necessary.
